McDonald Room

The McDonald Room forms the main conference area and is our most popular facility. The area can hold up to 100 people and can be set out in many different ways depending on your needs.
It's the perfect venue for a conference, training session, presentation or meeting.
Features include:

loop hearing system;

PA system with various microphone setting options;

a stage system that can accommodate a 'top table', lectern or presentation; and
-
a stage ramp which allows access to the stage for people in wheelchairs.
The three breakout rooms - Annandale, Broughton and Dryden - are all accessed from the McDonald Room.
Breakout Rooms

The Breakout Rooms are perfect if you want your event to feature workgroups, breakout sessions, interviews or separate catering areas. They are also available to hire on a separate basis from the McDonald Room.
There are three Breakout Rooms, all with a capacity of 20. They are separated from the main McDonald Room by movable, soundproofed partitions, meaning more flexibilty and choice for you. Two of the Breakout Rooms can be combined to create a much larger area with a capacity of 50.
Loop systems and a PA system are available for use in all the Breakout Rooms.
Hopetoun Suite

The Hopetoun IT Training Suite is a state-of-the-art facility offering 12 networked workstations that run from their own server, meaning any bespoke software can be installed. A high-speed internet connection is also provided.
The suite can be hired out for your own purposes, or delegates can attend a number of in-house courses run by Hanover - find out more about the courses here.
Other meeting rooms

We also offer a number of meeting rooms accommodating various numbers. These can be used as additional breakout rooms from the main McDonald Rooms Conference Centre, or you can hire them out on their own for smaller meetings or events. The Boardroom, as you can probably guess, offers a large, boardroom-style table and can seat up to 20 people. It also has its own breakout room and is ideal for committee meetings or more formal events.
